Description
Awareness of Mental Health & Wellbeing
Level 2 Award
Mental Ill-health is more common in people of all ages than ever before. All of us are affected, whether it’s our own MH or those around us at home and at work.
Learners with low self esteem and anxiety may display behavioural problems or have poor engagement with staff. Ultimately, it affects learning and achievement. We know only too well that there are so many influences across the age spans, amongst diverse groups, and within schools, colleges and workplaces, which can affect individuals (including YOU).
Our Level 2 Award Awareness of Mental Health and Wellbeing addresses many of these and it covers 5 main important points. By the end of the course, you will:
- Understand what is meant by the terms ‘mental health’ and ‘wellbeing’
- Understand how mental health is perceived in the UK
- Understand mental health issues in relation to diverse groups
- Know how to access support for mental health issues
- Know how to foster good mental health and wellbeing in self
The training aims to identify and assess the stigma attached to MH, factors which impact in many areas of life, and some excellent strategies for implementing a positive wellbeing plan.
