Meeting the Needs of Learners with ADHD

This short-course qualification really gets to the heart of how to work well with students who have ADHD.

It validates and extends the work being done by countless numbers of teachers and support staff in Primary and Secondary schools, and in Further Education including 6th Form Colleges.

You can become a Trainer of this programme by completing the Train the Trainer programme on a 1:1 basis at your school or college.

The programme is designed for all classroom-based staff, whether teaching or supporting.

**Approved by Ofqual and on the national register**

**Accredited by OCN London**

Level 2 (introductory) and Level 3 (advanced) qualification

The programme has four learning outcomes, each of which have assessment criteria to be provided as evidence.

Know how to modify the impact that ADHD has on learning

Understand the key principles of positive behaviour management

Achieve this qualification through a combination of independent study (pre-course reading), one day in the training room and post-course evaluation. All with full tutor support, guidance and feedback.

You are required to complete the workbook during the training day, which forms a major part of the assessment.

Due to the pre-course preparation requirement, booking this course should be no later than 1 week prior to commencement of the course date.

When you’ve completed the training yourself, you can provide this to your learning support, teaching assistants, teachers and mentors.

“Training the Trainer” will provide knowledge to deliver the training to:

  • Student Mentors
  • Personal Tutors
