This training helps delegates to get to grips with what PDA means and the implications of the behavioural symptoms in a general and educational setting. During the half day we will pull back the curtain on this condition. In particular, you will:
Gain a greater understanding of the meaning of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).
Know more about the impact PDA has on an individual, and how they might be supported.
Get to know the key principles of positive behaviour management when working with PDA children and young people.
Recognise the effects that PDA has on learning and understand how to reduce the impact of this.
