Mental Health brings with it some stigma, and students may not feel comfortable disclosing any issues. Sometimes it is really useful to be able to spot the signs and know the best ways to support a student whose academic achievement is at risk.
This half day awareness session will provide you with examples, strategies and safeguarding/signposting. Although we’ve tailored this training for a classroom environment, it is of great importance to all areas of work and life.
In this course, we:
- Raise awareness of what is meant by Mental Ill health
- Explore the issues relating to anxiety
- Explore the impact mental health has on learning and look at ways to support this
- Develop skills for managing challenging situations
