Can You Follow Instructions?

It’s always rather disheartening when your students don’t read the questions properly before writing their answers.  Part of the exam preparation could be to demonstrate the skill of reading before writing.  This short activity gives everyone in the class the opportunity to show others how well they read the instructions (or not!). It’s not new, but I still meet teachers who haven’t seen it before.  Enjoy!

  • What they say…

"I tried a couple of the rewards strategies and was surprised how well they worked. I used tactics for turning negatives to positives and this has noticeably improved the behaviour of several students I work with. I have stopped "nagging" and adopted your suggested tactics."
