Meeting the Needs of Learners with High Functioning Autism in the Classroom

In education we want success for all of our learners, and for ourselves.  That means you’ll need to know how to better support the learner with autism in your classroom.

Professor Barry Carpenter OBE, the renowned international leader on special needs education said, at the Equals Conference (Nov 2000)  “In whatever area of education you work, there is one thing of which you can be sure – in the future you will be providing for more children and young people with autism”.  If that’s the case, you’ll need this training.

By the end of this 1 day programme you will:

    • Understand what Autistic Spectrum conditions are and how they impact on individuals and their behaviour.
    • Be able to identify the impact that Autism has on a person.
    • Be able to reduce the impact that autism has on learning.
    • Be able to identify key principles of positive behaviour management.

Here’s a fuller programme.

This course is available for OCN London accreditation at Level 2 and Level 3.
